Settling In...

Slowly but surely, we are settling in nicely.  In fact, there really hasn't been much to share on here but life is getting back to normal.  The last couple of weekends since the boxes have left the premesis have been a nice mixture of productivity and pleasure.  We've managed to get a few things done and relax a little bit too.  We spent our first week in our new neighborhood jumping right into the festivities with a neighborhood Halloween Party and group trick-or-treating.  We feel so lucky to live in a friendly fun community again and the kids are loving being invited to others' houses for random parties and playdates.  What a blessing  for them to grow up here!  We are so pleased.  There have been some of the best kinds of weekend mornings mixed in as well - lazy breakfasts with some silly time and everyone working on their own projects - Jeff has been focusing on replacing some outdated fixtures, hardware, and fans and I've been trying to keep the kids entertained while hanging pictures and finding just the right place to put things.  We are certaintly not there yet, but we are progressing and enjoying the journey of home ownership again.  The kids are enjoying running around the yard b/c our little Cul-de-Sac (isn't that the best word?!) is so peaceful and going right next door to GigiPapa's house.  Last weekend we even had our first visitors which makes it seem official - Seth and Cecily with Jack and Elise and Donald came for dinner!  So fun to have them over and catch up!
