Last Friday night, Jeff thought it would be a great idea to go to our first Carolina Panthers game since they were playing the Miami Dolphins....hence, it became our official conversion to support our new local team. I've never been a big NFL fan (how can you be growing up in Clemson Tiger Country?!), but it's been fun over the years we lived in Florida to support the Dolphins and go to our annual game. Now that we live in Charlotte, we like to do the same so we are now official Panthers fans! We definitely had a good time and Brandon was still in town and we were all about to go together, which was great. I think I already like being a Panthers fan more already for several reasons (don't laugh - I AM a girl afterall): 1. The people are so much nicer at Panthers games (they ACTUALLY pray during the pre-game prayer and are respectful and quiet which always bothered me at Dolphins stadium) and there is less heckling, 2. The team colors are better, 3. The stadium food selection is better (local beers, variety of nachos, and Krispy Kreme donuts fully available), 4. Much easier to get to the game (parking right beside my office!) with it being in uptown Charlotte near lots of cool restaurants and bars, 5. The cool Charlotte skyline behind the stadium with the Duke Energy building lighting up during touchdowns (this may be Jeff's favorite reason), 6. Being able to see my cousin, Chris, when he works for RayCom to help video the game (too cool), 7. the mascot, Sir Purr, can really get down and dance (I don't remember the Dolphin ever breaking it down as cool as this cat), 8. The Panthers really played in a preseason game instead of just only putting in the 2nd/3rd string which tells me that maybe they do take all games seriously, and 9. Tyndell tells me that cats are better than fish (and isn't she the cutest little Panther cheerleader ever?! She was very excited about this new outfit). So there you have it - we'll be supporting the Panthers from here on out, though Jeff is still an Eagles fan at heart. Let football season begin!

I think it's really funny that you posted this TODAY, and so much has changed since 12:42 PM - for example, your boss has had a nervous breakdown, your work chair is damp...you know, stuff like that!! :)
