This past weekened, our family threw us a super fun baby shower to celebrate The Captain's impending arrival. It was so good to see so many wonderful friends and family, relax, and pause for a moment to look forward to meeting our sweet son soon. We received so many sweet gifts and well wishes, and even Tyndell received a few Big Sister gifts (including the newest addition to the dress-up treasure chest - the Snow Princess dress - as Jeff calls it). As you can see, the lovely hosts, my Mom and Anthe, sure do know how to throw a party - complete with a baby bathtub beer selection (as it turns out baby bathtubs make great coolers)! I think one of my favorite moments from the party was when I was opening a few gifts and saw these wonderful little shoes and toy from Mary and George, Anthe's parents and I asked Mary, who just turned 90 by the way and is sweet as pie, where she found such precious stuff and she replied, "On the Internet!" Too cute. Special thanks to my Clemson girls who came up from Greenville and Charleston and Donald coming into town from VA for the affair and my brother who has been in town from Raleigh. The Ahrens' clan was unfortunately tending to Dad A and not able to make it, but they were there in spirit of course and I had to post a picture of the cutest onsie ever from Mom A that she gave us prior to us making the trip back the weekend before. Who knew this Whale theme would be so fun? Thanks so much Mom and Anthe! We had a fantastic time!
